Silly Boy Sounds starts with one boy, and his dream (very cliché, we’re well aware).
After leaving high school, our very own Sam Emons decides to pursue his background and lifelong passion of music, and enrols in a private college for a music industry certification course. After just over a year, he finally gets his Certificate IV in Music Industry. But instead of learning musical performance and theory as he did in high school, he decides to learn sound production at the college instead. Turns out it was a good thing, because in May of that first year, after an insider’s story from one of the lecturers about being a music and record producer, it was then that Sam realised his dream was to make music for a living.
Flash forward a couple years, past several instances of bouncing between being talked out of the industry, and jumping right back into it headstrong, and Sam started Silly Boy Sounds in July of 2021.

Several artists have released EPs, albums, and singles through Silly Boy Sounds. We also have our touch on other projects, contributing towards multiple other records (including work by Our Demise, The Boys And Blake, Guttered and The Fee to name a few). Silly Boy Sounds have also released multiple videos on YouTube and other platforms, talking about various things happening within their scope of work to sound smart (although whether we actually do sound smart is another thing).
Silly Boy Sounds are slowly on the path to great success. Even though we only started three years ago, we are well on the road to fame and fortune, leaving satisfied musicians in our wake. The number of customers and clients we’ve worked with grows day by day, with everyone having stated they’ve had a great (and most importantly fun) time.
We have admittedly hit a few “snags in the road” with some hiatus’ and blackouts online, but fret not; we’ve been working behind the scenes to make 2024 the greatest year of Silly Boy Sounds to come!
Future
We are soon to be working on several different projects with several different people, helping with recording, producing, and organising some fun marketing to get people’s attention. Beyond that, we have some far different projects coming up that we’ll be able to talk about in time.
If that’s just not enough to satiate you, we also have big plans in the online district, with fun projects and adventures for YouTube videos, fun music-related skits on TikTok, and of course the old regular company and project updates on places like Facebook and Instagram (not to mention a re-haul on our website to make it better reflect the current Silly Boy Sounds).
Although we are doing amazingly, Silly Boy Sounds are admittedly still finding their feet. As we started purely from scratch, we don’t have the reputation or decked-out portfolio that a top-notch or long-running production studio would have. But that’s exactly the thing we want to tackle; not only catching up to our nearby fellow producers and studios, but surpassing and overcoming them (sorry if you’re one of our nearby fellow producers or studios and you’re reading this).
Other than all that, there will be a ton of stuff happening in both the near and far future, so I guess the only way you’ll find out about it is by staying tuned to Silly Boy Sounds.
